This is a preparatory sketch for the head of the figure in the lower-central part of the fresco The Miracle or Accusation of Saint Casilda in the cloister of Toledo Cathedral. There is one preparatory sketch in Toledo Cathedral and another in the Ena Collection in Zaragoza.
The head is depicted in three-quarter length, tilted to the left of the drawing and with his eyes raised. The study is very thorough. The Museo del Prado keeps the preparatory drawing for the figure (D000592) along with other related Works.
