This is a preparatory drawing for the cloak that falls over the lower half of the figure of Saint Mark intended for one of the pendentives on the Cupola of the Collegiate Church of La Granja de San Ildefonso, destroyed in the fire of 1920. The museum keeps the sketch for the fresco (P002488) and another drawing for the upper part of a cloak for the same figure (D000362).
