Sketch for the mural painting of the presbytery of the Basilica of San Francisco el Grande in Madrid. It depicts Saint Francis of Assisi (Assisi, Italy, 1182–1226), founder of the Franciscan Order, receiving the blessing of Pope Honorius III in Perugia in July 1216, granting the plenary indulgence in favour of all who visits the church of Saint Mary of the Angels in Porziuncola in Assisi (Italy). It forms a set with works P006785 and P006934. The preparatory watercolour of the set is kept in Museo del Prado (D007443).
