Saint Roch Curing the Animals
Second half of the XVII century. Pencil, Pencil ground, Grey-brown ink on paper. Not on display
The composition is taken from Tintoretto´s painting of the subject in the church of S. Rocco, Venice. The copyist is uniquestionably Valentin Lefèvre, a Flemish painter and draftsman who worked in Venice, and the drawing is comparable to the many examples of his copies after works of Ventian masters.
