See author's fileThis is a preparatory drawing for the canvas The Virgin with Saint Francis and Saint Anthony in the Church of Santa Ana in Valladolid, most likely painted in 1787. In the centre, within the grid, the Saint faces the viewer, kneeling, with her arms outstretched and her head slightly tilted to the left. Angels flank her on either side.
