This is a preparatory drawing for the corresponding figure in the lower-left corner of the fresco The Charity of Saint Casilda in the cloister of Toledo Cathedral. The figure is depicted seated with his right leg outstretched and his head tilted downwards. Two preparatory sketches for the fresco are extant: one in Toledo Cathedral and the other, in sepia, in the Ena Collection in Zaragoza. The Museo del Prado keeps several related drawings for the same fresco.
