Escudo coronado con flor de lis o lirio de Estrasburgo y número "4" de Van der Ley
Filigrana denominada por Churchill “lirio de Estrasburgo”, quien vincula este escudo con flor de lis con el mercado holandés de los siglos XVII y XVIII, en relación con las más destacadas casas productoras de papel, como los Van der Ley, Gerrevink, Honig, Kool, Rogge, Villedary y Whatman, entre otros (Churchill (1935) 1985, pp. 5-18).
