It has to be said that I had a good relationship with Luzón, who was the director when I arrived. In those days the director of the Museum didn’t mix much, except with the curators and a few others...You only met him when there was something he needed doing. So, as he was an archaeologist he wanted to create some sculpture galleries. And in the end he got them done and we worked together to some extent on preparing the bases. We had to see how that would work as the slabs weighed a lot and it was difficult to display them in an appropriate and also safe way. That was the most fundamental part of my collaboration with Luzón. Apart from that, sometimes he called you in over some matter. But as this was at the start of the building work when there weren’t any problems yet and it was all very new, it was an easy, unproblematic relationship. My most important memory of Luzón is the sculpture gallery.
He worked at the Museo del Prado as Head of the Area of Works and Maintenance from 1994 to 2009. He works as an architect, participating in major projects such as the remodelling of the roof, the Museum's extension or the re-model and enlarge of the Casón del Buen Retiro.
