Hippomenes and Atalanta, one of the most iconic works in the collection of the Museo Nacional del Prado and among Guido Reni’s most celebrated paintings, is once again on display following its restoration, made possible through the patronage of the Iberdrola Spain Foundation. Until next November, the painting will hang in a specially designed structure in the Central Gallery, before travelling to Frankfurt, where the Städel Museum is preparing an exhibition devoted to Reni. Upon its return, the work will be included in the major exhibition that the Museo del Prado will dedicate to this Baroque master, one of the Museum’s flagship projects of 2023.
