Captain Churruca’s Death at Trafalgar

The sailor Cosme Damián Churruca y Elorza (Motrico, Guipúzcoa, 1761–Trafalgar, Cádiz, 1805) died in command of the ship San Juan Nepomuceno in the battle of Trafalgar. This event took place on 21 October 1805, near Cape Trafalgar, between the allied Spanish and French fleets against England.
