This is a preparatory drawing for the figure in the centre-left part of the fresco The Miracle or Accusation of Saint Casilda in the cloister of Toledo Cathedral. There is one preparatory sketch in Toledo Cathedral and another in the Ena Collection in Zaragoza. The Museo del Prado keeps other related drawings for the same fresco. The figure is depicted standing in profile with his left arm outstretched. The study of the clothing is very thorough.
