This is a preparatory drawing for a figure in the central part of the fresco The Imprisonment of Saint Eulogius in the cloister of Toledo Cathedral, which keeps a preparatory sketch. The Museo del Prado keeps other related drawings and a sketch for the same fresco. The figure is depicted standing, facing forwards with his left leg outstretched, and positioning his hands as if he were throwing something. The study of the clothing is very thorough.
