Mists (Villerville)
1877 - 1884. Oil on canvas mounted on cardboard. Not on display
In the foreground, among the sand, several rocks jut out from the shore. The outline of several buildings on a mound can be perceived through the mist on the right. In front, a palisade is lost in the distance. Over the sea to the left, a boat with its nets drawn in can be seen. This same landscape taken on a bright day and from a more distant viewpoint is shown in Coast of Villerville (P006866) and from a closer viewpoint in Beach of Villerville (P005650).
