Saint Lawrence and Saint Stephen

This is a preparatory drawing of two figures for the cupola interior of the Regina Santorum Omnium before the Holy Chapel and the structure that houses it, in the Basilica of Our Lady of Pilar in Zaragoza. The sketch for the fresco is in the Museo Diocesano in Zaragoza. Saint Lawrence is depicted on the left, in right profile, kneeling and with his arms outstretched. Saint Stephen is depicted on the right, seated and with his back turned. The study of clothing is very thorough, and it contains some decorations.
