The Apparition of the Christ Child to Saint Anthony of Padua
First quarter of the XVIII century. Glass, Wood.Room C
In an ecstatic rapture, the Christ Child appears to Saint Anthony. The overall treatment of the group reflects the artistic codes most typical of the Neapolitan Baroque, which characterise Fumo´s approach. This is evident in the dynamism of the scene and the infant figures, the softness of the flesh and the childlike faces, including that of the saint himself.
