The Marquis of La Motilla and the Count of El Águila, on Horseback

These two Sevillian horsemen were brothers-in-law. They are dressed in the typical short Andalusian costume, consisting of a short jacket, a sash around the waist, breeches, boots and a hat with a turned-up brim. Behind them we can make out other figures on horseback or carriages, against the background of the city of Seville. This work is a smaller version of the original, which is kept in the Sevillian collection of the Marquis of La Motilla.
