This is a preparatory drawing for the figure of Sculpture in the fresco of the Spanish Monarchy, Protector of the Fine Arts, in the Casita del Príncipe (Prince’s Cottage) in El Pardo Palace. The figure is depicted as female: she sits facing forwards and extending her left arm. The study of the textile that covers the central part of the figure is very thorough, but the rest of her body is only sketched.
