We weren’t aware of just how valuable the paintings or antiques in the Museum are. You don’t realise until you join the Museum. I remember that when I worked in the halls, professors would come around with their students to explain the works. You were left dumbfounded by what they said: “Look at that!”, “Look at this!”. And it was true. However, some of the guides came out with real nonsense, just stories. I like to talk, converse and inform people about things. And that’s why I liked this job. I found it a real pleasure, which is why I really liked it.
He worked as a gallery attendant of the Special Corps of Junior Officials of the Museo Nacional del Prado for three decades, as well as clerical support.
