Landscape at Panticosa
Ca. 1869. Watercolour, Conté crayon on paper. Not on display
This panoramic view of the River Caldarés winding through the Panticosa valley (Huesca) is the finest of a large, well-known series of watercolours produced in the late 1860s, in which Rosales captured the valley’s steep slopes in a refined, synthetic style using a neutral palette.
