The Ministry issued instructions to María del Carmen Garrido and to [José María] Cabrera – I don’t remember his first name – but he was María del Carmen Garrido’s boss. They studied the question of air-conditioning. And we spent almost two years gathering information about the halls. We set up the apparatus to measure the temperature and humidity levels in each room of the museum. Some rooms had such stable temperature and humidity in a natural state that it would’ve been difficult to achieve it artificially. We gathered this information every week and, thanks to this data, they produced a study on how to provide air-conditioning for the Museo del Prado.
He began working at the Museum as an elevator operator, and he has been an electrician there since 1988.
