The painter I like most is Velázquez and Las Meninas, I am especially fond of them because for five years I worked as a watchman, and there were times when I looked over that painting too. Las Meninas were in Hall Fifteen, a hall that had a mirror. In that room it was just Las Meninas and the mirror. I recall Las Meninas were on the left and the mirror was on the right-hand side of the hall. Then you could look at Las Meninas in the mirror or directly. I think the importance of that painting was heightened by the fact that there was a hall exclusively dedicated to Las Meninas.
He began to work at the Museum as an elevator operator, subsequently moving to the Copy Department as part of the administrative staff.
