Of the directors of the Museum I am especially grateful to Pita Andrade because he allowed us to get going on our own feet. Then I had a good relationship, in some periods better than in others, but we always enjoyed the respect of Alfonso Emilio Pérez Sánchez. We always managed with all the different directors. Nobody ever questioned the importance of our work for the Museum. Quite the contrary, it became increasingly important. There came a time when there was always a great demand for our work, especially by the curators, who would be working with someone from abroad, where this type of documentation is more common. All the great technical laboratories were a benchmark, but with our modest means we have been able to do an awful lot. I often say that Spaniards may be lacking in means but we've got plenty of imagination to spare. From nothing we got everything. We never had difficulties to obtain materials. The expensive equipment we would squeeze in through the Ministry or sometimes a patron would donate super expensive equipment.
Head of the Office of Technical Documentation at the Museum, conservator with the Spanish Association of Museum Professionals. She has worked at the Escuela de Restauración of Madrid, as well as at the laboratory of the Instituto de Conservación y Restauración. She has participated in numerous research studies and publications.
