I've learned to see many important things in painting. I did not study painting, but there are things you can see. You've got to focus on what is painted there. You can't see it all in one day. If you want to get a good view, choose two or three paintings at the most. You've got to sit down and notice the details in each painting. You may notice something while I'll focus on something else. It's all completely different. Nobody can be bored in the Museum. The moment you come in, you're hooked, and that's the end of the story. It's a fact. The day I left the Museum, I fell apart.
He began to work at the Museum as a carpenter and later, after a while as a gallery attendant, he joined the restoration workshop, carrying out carpentry work which was his specialty. His father also worked at the Museo Nacional del Prado and helped evacuate works of art during the Spanish Civil War.
