Enrique Quintana and the Restoration Studio
Miguel Zugaza Miranda, Museum Director, 2002-2017Enrique Quintana and the Restoration Studio
Miguel Zugaza Miranda, Museum Director, 2002-2017
For me I think this has been one of the most rewarding things: having been able to work and be in contact with people such as Enrique Quintana, for example, head of Restoration at the Museum. A remarkable human being and one with truly amazing capacity for work and leadership. Whenever I was able to find any free time from my work I quickly headed off to the restoration studio to learn, given that each restorer teaches you an amazing amount, about art but also about our mission, about what being in charge of museums means.
Director of the Museo del Prado and trustee of the Friends of the Museo del Prado Foundation. He was also assistant director of the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía and is currently director of the Museo de Bellas Artes in Bilbao.
