Curators and the Art Handler team

I’ve been lucky not to have had any problems with any curator. In fact, on occasion some of them have said: “What do you think if we put this up? What painting has been in store for a long time?”. I haven’t had any problems with the Art Handler team either. In fact, they play a key part in the exhibition process. In my opinion, they’re fundamental, because if they take a long time bringing the pictures up, or they get it wrong and bring up a different picture, well then you can have a problem. However, I’ve never had any problem with any of them. In fact, I still get together to have breakfast with some of them some days and even lunch sometimes. People say: “It’s not easy dealing with the Art Handler team”. I can’t say that, because for me, the Art Handler team is like everyone else. They have good days and other not so good days, and within the Art Handler team there are a lot of people, all of whom have their own personality, and you have to know how to deal with them. If you apply a bit of a deft touch, you have no problem. That’s the truth.
She joined the Museo del Prado with one year of experience as a trainee, later going on to review the material of the permanent collection ("Prado disperso"). She joined the Temporary Exhibition Service and later worked in the Permanent Collection where it is responsible for remodeling the rooms and controlling the movements of the works of art.
