In the old days, you needed to have a contact to join the Museo del Prado, that’s the truth of the matter, someone who would get you in, because otherwise, you’re just one of many. I was lucky that there was a manager working there called Javier Morales, who was a friend of my brother’s. Javier Morales told me: “I can’t guarantee anything, but at least try out the year of work experience, because they don’t have to pay you for it, and that’s one way in which you can get into the Museum”. And that’s what I did. Everyone joined in one way or another, either through Diego Angulo or Pérez Sánchez. That was how it was.
She joined the Museo del Prado with one year of experience as a trainee, later going on to review the material of the permanent collection ("Prado disperso"). She joined the Temporary Exhibition Service and later worked in the Permanent Collection where it is responsible for remodeling the rooms and controlling the movements of the works of art.
